Practical Exercises. We provide 6 exercises that you can include in your daily teaching and research to apply everything you have learned through the program. In order to obtain the certificate, you must choose 1 of the 6 assignments and email it to IMFAHE ( *Send us all the required information included in your presentation.

  1. Create an engaging presentation. Based on the guidelines in this program, create a presentation with at least 10 slides about a topic related to your classes that you can use with your students.

  2. Practice effective communication. Based on the guidelines in this program, engage your target audience (university students) by:

    1. Including questions and polls (make your audience get involved)

    2. Include examples, stories to catch the attention of the audience, etc.  

  3. Teach beyond the topic. Go beyond the subject/topic explanation and propose activities to:

    1. Promote critical thinking. Include1 exercise that promotes the critical thinking about the topic in your class where you are presenting the prepared slides. 

    2. Promote innovation and catalytic questioning. Include 1 exercise where the students have to give an innovative solution to a stated challenge related to the topic in your class where you are presenting the prepared slides. 

    3. Promote collaborative teamwork.

  4. Include open science in your research and based on the guidelines in this program, make your research more open, global, collaborative, creative and closer to society.  Send us a list of the resources that you will include in your next grant application (i.e. nonproprietary platforms, activities to explain the impact of your research to the public, etc..).

  5. Effective networking. Use the Networking Sessions to establish new professional contacts. Exchange professional information with at least 2 professors or international mentors in the network and explore potential collaborations. Send us a list with the name and affiliations of the new 2 contacts.

  6. Online presence & outreach. Based on the guidelines in this program, build or improve your presence online as a leader in your teaching and research and contribute with your posts, blogs, or articles to bring your research or teaching methods closer to society.Send us the link to one of your posts, blogs, articles on LinkedIn, Twitter, research blog, etc


IMPORTANT NOTE: Only professors from the universities that collaborate with IMFAHE in the academic year 2020-21 (and the Internatioinal Mentors that are part of IMFAHE´s Network) are eligible to request the diploma.
