MIT European Career Fair 2018

Feb 26, 2018

On February 24th the International Mentoring Foundation for the Advancement of Higher Education (IMFAHE) participated at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT European Career Fair which is annually held in Boston. This meeting is attended by more than 4,000 students, working professionals and recent alumni of Ivy League, and renowned European and American universities, and 132 European companies and organizations with educational projects and hiring needs.

This international event is a great opportunity to expand our educational programs via networking with new institutions and to inform students and researchers about our projects.
This Fair offers professional and educational opportunities to those who wish to work or study in Europe, with organizations which require highly-specialized profiles and can offer career or education opportunities in Europe. Most of the candidates come from the best universities in the USA, such as the MIT, Harvard and the Ivy League (which comprises the universities of Columbia, Princeton, Cornell and Yale, among others). This European Career Fair is the greatest event of this type and has been held in the USA since 1995. “This year our stand presented programs from 6 Spanish universities (universities of La Laguna, València, Europea Miguel de Cervantes, Autonoma of Madrid, Oviedo, and UNIR) and we were invited to present a Workshop about International networks to succeed in Science and Education, based on the unique educational project that we are developing in collaboration with Spanish universities (universities of Valencia, Valladolid, La Laguna, Europea Miguel de Cervantes, Politécnica de Valencia, Oviedo, Autonoma de Madrid, Politécnica de Cataluña, Sevilla, Malaga and UNIR in 2018), Zafira Castano (IMFAHE’s President) announced”.

This event put us in contact with important institutions such as Repsol or Euraxess, which we hope will result in new collaborations that help the professional development of our students. We will keep you posted about our progress!
